MevaDec Innovation - Formula 1
Form any slab with one and the same system:
choose integrated or separate forming face
The MevaDec slab formwork system has revolutionised the was slabs - by far the largest are in concrete works - are poured. Most importantly, it covers three different forming methods in one and the same system, enabling the concrete contractor to form any slab without changing parts and without additional inventory.
The slab formwork system is easily adaptable to
- Building layout and type
- Work flow requirements
- Slab thickness
- Level heights
- Concrete mixture
- Temperature and climate
- Concrete finish
3-day-per-slab cycles proven on the world´s highest building, the Burj Khalifa. Since the slab formwork MevaDec is entirely crane-independent and is moved by hand, the system is predestined for high-rise and large-area slab works where crane time is limited or not available. The Burj Khalifa required minimum inventory and exceptional speed over 154 levels. With 0 re-facing down-times. And early stripping which leaves the backprop/rehosre in place while beams and panels are stripped for use on the next cycle. The slab fornwork MevaDec fared so well that Turner Corporation USA has deteremined the MevaDec method as the preferred way slabs should be formed.
100% wood-free, all-plastic facing alkus
MEVA is the first formwork manufacturer to equip all its formwork systems with the pioneering all-plastic forming face “alkus“. Thus, all MEVA formwork systems produce a consistent high-quality concrete finish.

FEATURES
|
BENEFITS
|
- Panel width 40cm, 60cm and 80cm, panel length 80cm and 160cm; frames made of closed 2-chamber aluminium profi les; annealed, impact- and scratch resistant plastic coating
|
- Simple adaptation in 20cm increments – compensations arealways less than 20cm
- Torsion-proof, durable, low weight
- Less cleaning effort due to reduced concrete adhesion
|
- Primary and secondary beam
|
- Rigid and torsion-proof
|
- Prop with drop-head allows for early stripping
|
- Less inventory through repeated re-use
|
3 methods with one system MevaDec

FEATURES
|
BENEFITS
|
Drop-head-beam-panel method (FTE)
- Load-bearing system comprising primary beams and props with drop-heads
- Grid-free placing and moving of panels in primary beam, over and beyond drop-head
- Free changing of forming direction
- Number of props determined by the system
|
- Simple assembly and stripping, low learning curve and shorter assembly time
- Simple, grid-free adaptation to building geometries
- Improved safety, avoids assembly errors, avoids superfluous props, fewer parts
- Few props required
|
Primary-and-secondary-beam method (HN)
- Load-bearing system comprising primary beams and props with drop-heads
- Separate facing placed on primary and secondary beams
- Free placing and moving of secondary beams in primary beams
|
- Free choice of facing
- Primary and secondary beams support separate facing
- Few props required
|
Panel-method
- Without primary and secondary beam
- Just two parts: panel and prop with prop-head
- One prop-head for all applications, fits corner and edge; can even support the cross stiffener
|
- Ideal for buildings with small slab areas where early stripping offers no benefits
- Simple handling
|
Early Stripping MevaDec
