A mixed commercial, residential and leisure project is under construction on Saadiyat island located 500 m off Abu Dhabi. The island will feature many world class resorts, museums and universities. It is expected to be completed in 2020. MEVA KHK in Dubai were consulted to design and provide a comprehensive formwork solution for the island´s large-scale infrastructure projects.
Part of the project is the building of a new sewage treatment plant with biological tanks. The project encompasses the following concrete structures:

The contractors were especially pleased with the stability and robustness of the formwork and the 0 mm deflection achieved on the high walls that were poured to full height in just a single pour.
Kharafi National LLC´s Senior Civil Engineer said that given the performance and service on this project, MEVA KHK will definitely be used on future projects!
